This is my favorite way to get my day started – nothing says “Good Morning” like fresh veggies, yogurt and berries!
This smoothie isn’t your average healthy green smoothie – I like mine with lots of sweet twists!
Breakfast used to always be a hit or miss meal for me. Before I had to change my diet, I loved bagels, french toast, pastries, you name it! But once I found out I had all of my food allergies and had to make a major life change, breakfast turned into a bland meal of oats and hard boiled eggs. Not that hard boiled eggs are bad or anything, it’s just that I like to start my morning something a little more fresh and flavorful.
I used to think that green smoothies were all spinach and leafy greens that were going to taste, well, gross. But, I’ve figured out the perfect blend of flavors that make this my favorite breakfast ever. My trick is to make a big batch of these twice a week, and put them into mason jars, that way it’s a “grab ‘n go” type of a breakfast. You know me, if there’s a way to meal-prep something, I will find it!
A side note about green smoothies: they aren’t the most filling breakfast in the world. I cram a bunch of ingredients into my blender, but just a heads up that you will most likely need to grab a mid-morning snack.
